Kindle Fires Back -

Amazon has two new models in the e-reader space that are intended to defend market share from competitors like the iPad.  The price of their base Kindle model is only $139 and the higher end model with 3G technology is $189.  Both e-readers have wi-fi capabilities to download books.  The lower price is hoped to increase adoption rates of e-readers and build a wider customer base.  Amazon has already taken the step of offering bestselling e-books at low prices to Kindle readers.
