Although it is still a tight job market there are some bright spots for MBA students and recent grads.  The number of full time hires are picking up as well as the number of first year internships.  Internships for first year students are of vital importance because they can lead to full time job offers.  When second year MBAs have full time offers in early fall it enables career centers to focus on helping other students complet their job search.

Law School Job Market -

The job market for law school graduates is considered to be the worst in recent memory.  The Wall Street Journal has an article that discusses the situation and the overall decline in job offers.  There are still over 40,000 law degrees awarded every year and that number is likely to remain stable.  However, the demand for attorneys has dropped significantly and firm revenues are also in decline.  This is a good article to read for anyone that is considering attending law school.
