Georgetown Center On Education Study -

A recent study from the Georgetown Center on Education and the Workforce compared college majors with employment rates and salaries.  The study indicates that a students major is a strong factor in determining employment and lifetime career earnings.  Majors that are in high demand are engineering, healthcare, education, and the sciences.  Earnings for quantitative majors such as engineering were significantly higher than earnings in the education field.  Architecture is one major that has been hurt by the economic downturn.  Architecture majors have a 13.9% unemployment rate.
